Sean Robinson, P.E.
City of Las Vegas
Sean received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada – Las Vegas and is currently a Project Engineer at the City of Las Vegas. He has received multiple honors and awards in engineering organizations, including the 2017 ASCE Western Region Younger Member Council (WRYMC) Young Engineer of the Year (Private Sector); 2017 ASCE Southern Nevada Branch Young Engineer of the Year; 2015 ASCE Southern Nevada Branch Outstanding Community Involvement award and the 2013-2014 Young Engineer of the Year Southern Nevada Chapter NSPE award.
~ Sean enjoys fishing, traveling, and spending time with his beautiful bride during his free time.
Manogya Khanal, E.I.
Manogya graduated with honors from Boise State University in May 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Currently, she is an Engineer II with Atkins Global. She also serves on the Board for ASCE YMF Southern Nevada Chapter as a Community Outreach Co-Chair. She is an active member of Women Inspiring Leadership (WIL), which is an Atkins organization that supports the role of women in engineering, leadership, and the workplace. Achievements include coordinating social get-togethers, webinars, and presentations made by successful women in the workplace, in engineering, and in our community. In addition, she is a member of Association of State Floodplain Manager, and is a Certified Floodplain Manager.
~In Manogya’s free time, she enjoys hiking, reading and trying new cuisine.
Michael Cooper, P.E.
Southwest Gas Corporation
Michael moved to the Las Vegas Valley from Southern California 21 years ago. He studied Civil Engineering and Psychology at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas and proceeded to work in the Engineering department of Southwest Gas. He worked in the fast paced areas of New Business, Planning and Large Projects, prior to transitioning into the business side of the organization. Currently, he leads a team of engineers that oversee and manage all of the Key Accounts within Southwest Gas' Nevada and California territories. In addition to his engineering degree, he holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), a Professional Engineering license (PE) and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). ~In his free time, Michael loves spending quality time with his wife and daughter. As a result, Michael has been subjected to an inhumane amount of Disney films.
Martin D. Jensen, P.E.*

After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in Civil Engineering and completing the coursework for a master’s degree (completed in 2000) in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Engineering emphasis, Martin has been practicing Geotechnical Engineering since 1999. He has participated in a wide variety of projects including transportation, flood control, pipeline, high-rise, commercial, industrial, mining, and residential projects. He has been the Geotechnical and Environmental Department Manager for NOVA Geotechnical & Inspection Services since October 2013 and has been practicing in the Las Vegas Valley since 2000.

Rosaura Gallagher, E.I.
Clark County Water Reclamation District
Rosaura is a project manager for the Clark County Water Reclamation District Engineering Department. She has worked for CCWRD Engineering since June 2014. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering and applied physics. She has more than 25 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of water and wastewater utility infrastructure, sustainable LEED design, and is a Certified Construction Manager. Prior to CCWRD, she worked for the Las Vegas Valley Water District, which included sustainable design and construction as a project manager for the Las Vegas Springs Preserve.

Raul V. Valdez, P.E.*

Raul is a Supervising Civil Engineer with MWH Global (now part of Stantec) working in the southwest heavy civil infrastructure design group. He works on a variety of design projects throughout the southwestern United States ranging from water/wastewater pumping stations, infrastructure rehabilitation, large diameter sewer interceptors, water distribution pipelines, and flood control facilities. Born and raised in Las Vegas, he graduated from UNLV with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in 2007. He has been heavily involved with the American Public Works Association (APWA) spring conference planning committee since 2011.
~During his free time, Raul enjoys spending time with family and playing soccer with his daughter.

Naik Banavathu, P.E.
Ninyo & Moore
Naik is currently a Principal Engineer in the Las Vegas office of Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical and Environmental Sciences Consultants. He graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering and has more than 14 years of professional experience providing geotechnical engineering services for municipal, federal, military, and private sector projects. He has directed the geotechnical aspects of a large variety of engineering projects, including solar plants, pump stations, pipelines, reservoirs, waste-water collection and treatment facilities, storm water channels and detention basins, bridges, roadways, park and recreational facilities, commercial and municipal developments, and other infrastructure.
~Naik is registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in Nevada and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), and American Public Works Association (APWA).
Brian Kalina, P.E.
Southwest Gas Corporation
Brian has more than 13 years of experience in construction and engineering responsibilities, 8 of which have been in the natural gas industry. He has functioned as design engineer, project manager, and supervising engineer for a variety of projects associated with natural gas distribution and transmission pipelines. He is currently an Engineering Staff Supervisor responsible for administering Southwest Gas Corporation's transmission pipeline integrity program to meet Federal (PHMSA) and State requirements. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and is licensed by the Nevada State Board of Engineers as a Civil Engineer.
~Brian has served as President and Director of Programming for the Southern Nevada NSPE chapter.
